1991年開始擔任母校弘益大學字體專業的教授。1997－2001年間擔任國際平面設計協會聯合會的副會長，2001年漢城TypoJanchi展的主席，1998年他榮獲克羅地亞國際平面設計及視覺傳遞展（Zgraf8）大獎，2007年榮獲德國萊比錫古藤堡獎。
